Acne is the most common skin condition in the US

Having acne sucks. That's all there is to it. It doesn't matter if you're a teenager, a millennial or even middle-aged - it still totally sucks to have to deal with acne. On top of that, acne messes with your self-confidence because when you think you don't look good, you don't feel good about yourself.

So, we get it. People will go to desperate measures to "fix" their acne problem. If you've ever made an "emergency" appointment with the dermatologist because you just can't deal with the "mess" your skin is in, you know what I'm talking about.

If the fact that acne is the most common skin condition in the US doesn't surprise you, maybe this fact will: the most commonly prescribed treatments are retinoids combined with antibiotics. Sadly, both can have pretty significant side-effects.

Retinoids cause dryness and irritation. Dryness is exactly what acne prone skin does not need. And almost every antibiotic has this on its label: "stomach upset, diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting may occur." Unless, you get prescribed Accutane. That one has an even more impressive (as in NOT GOOD AT ALL) side effect profile. You can check that out here. But hey, anything is better than a face full of zits, right? Actually, not right at all!

So why in the world do doctors prescribe these things? Well, because they can work and people go to doctor's to get "fixed"and doctors often "fix" things with prescriptions.

But guess what? There are other things that work that don't have side effects! Retinoids are prescribed because they unclog pores and can decrease inflammation. Our Green Tea with Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub also unclogs pores and decreases inflammation except that instead of dryness and irritation, you get incredibly soft, smooth skin! Hmmm, side effects or soft smooth skin? Is that even a choice?

Antibiotics work because they kill bacteria. Green Tea and Tea Tree Oil also have anti-bacterial properties, but without side effects.

If you or someone you love is dealing with acne, do yourself a huge favor and try our Green Tea with Tea Tree Oil Facial Scrub. It works on acne AND it leaves skin feeling so soft and smooth AND it's all-natural and good for you and your skin!

High pollen levels are tough for allergy sufferers and can cause eczema flare ups!

Spring is the best of times and the worst of times if you are an allergy or an eczema sufferer. All that green and blooming stuff makes it a beautiful time of the year, but all that beauty can be downright painful if you have allergies or eczema.

Did you know that the same things that trigger your allergies (like pollen) can also trigger eczema flare-ups? It's true. Like it's not bad enough to be sneezing all the time, you have to be ithcy too? Mother Nature can be as cruel as she is beautiful.

Tree pollen levels are particularly high at this time of year in most parts of the US, but if you live in Minnesota you have it tougher than the rest of us today. As a matter of fact, the worst cities for allergies today are: Duluth, Minneapolis,Sioux Falls, SD, St. Cloud and Bemidji, MN. So, if you've got eczema and you live in one of these places you better have some Simple Sugars with emu oil on hand!

We can't help you with the sneezing but we can sure help take care of the itching! Using Simple Sugars daily will not only keep you itch-free, but it will leave your skin super soft and smooth without needing lotion. And if your alergies are making you congested, you just might want to GO NO-LO with our Eucalyptus. It'll help to "unstuff" you as well!

P.S. We don't make any medical claims or guarantees but we do have some pretty amazing customer stories. You can check them out here
